Sone Rovet Chasson LLP (“SRC”) respects the privacy rights of our clients and is committed to protecting all personal information in our possession or control.  This privacy policy guides how we collect, use and disclose the personal and business information entrusted to us in the course of providing professional services to our clients.

This policy is designed to meet the standards prescribed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and the regulations thereunder (“PIPEDA”), as well as those of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.

Every employee, partner and contractor at SRC is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of all personal information to which they have access.  They are trained to be familiar with, respect and comply with this policy as a condition of employment.

What Sort of Information Do We Collect?

“Personally identifying information” is any information that can, by its nature, identify who you are. Examples of this type of information include, but are not limited to, your name, contact address or number, date of birth, financial status, credit information.  We limit the collection of personal information to that which is reasonably required to provide our services or operate our business.  You have complete control over your personal information. In general, you can visit our website or contact us through other means without providing us with any personal information.

How Long Will Personal Information Be Retained?

In compliance with professional standards, we keep records of the work performed by SRC.  These records, or “working papers”, may include personal information and will be retained until such working papers are no longer reasonably required for legal, administrative, audit or regulatory purposes.

If you continue to use our website or services and / or submit your personal information to SRC, you consent to the purposes and uses outlined for which SRC collects and/or shares your personal information.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

SRC will not disclose personally identifiable information about you to other organizations unless we have your consent to share that information. Aggregating Non-Personally Identifiable Information: IP Addresses and Cookies

Anonymous User Browsing: You can visit our website without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself, including your e-mail address. In this case, our web server may collect the IP address and domain you used to access our website, the type and version of web browser and operating system you are using; the number, duration and frequency of visits to our website and the website you came from and visit next.

This anonymous information cannot be traced to a specific individual user. It is used by SRC to measure the number of visits, average time spent, pages viewed, most popular preferences and other statistics about website visitors. This allows us to determine the characteristics of users on SRC’s website and our most popular services. We may use this data to monitor website performance for systems administration purposes, to make the SRC website easier and more convenient to use, as well as improving SRC’s services and tracking visitor information in aggregate form (e.g., the number of visitors using the website).

Security

Personal information is safeguarded by physical, technological and procedural measures to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of such information under our control. Security practices are also reviewed on a regular basis.
